Would you like to be one of the first to sail the mighty Atlantic Ocean? I, Christopher Columbus, present you with that opportunity. I am recruiting sailors to sail with me to China.

To qualify you must be 20-30yrs old. I expect good health and no record of hazardous illness in the past. I am looking for robust, diligent, courageous men. Pessimism is not permitted on any of my ships. You must also be an experienced sailor with a level temper.

I intend to pay you fully for your services and bonus treasures for outstanding work. It is in your best interest to accept my generous offer to sail with me because I guarantee that when we return you will become prominent and wealthy. Please notify me as soon as possible if you are willing to set off on this journey.

Sincerely,

Christopher Columbus

Cyber-Bullying

Posted in Uncategorized by ssissaba on the October 1, 2008

Cyberbullying is a mean, cruel way of harassment. It usually occurs between the ages 13-15. I was reading this site about cyber-bullying http://www.stopcyberbullying.org/teens/index.html and they gave us information on proper cyber-bullying etiquette and how to block cyber-bullies.

People figure that the person they are talking to have no idea who they are and that causes the shyness in kids to disappear and they are not afraid to say anything. Here is a video showing exactly how far kids can go when it comes to cyber-bullying.

People can be mean and cyber bullying has no limits! kids can say anything because there is no possible way we can control everything on the internet; cyber-bullying is limited to the power of your imagination. I think that people who start harassing others are unleashing their anger on others because they are so bitter at themselves. We should all do whatever we can to stop cyber-bullying because it can be externally and internally destroying.

All teachers and parents try to stop cyber-bullying but they cant do it alone. If more kids realize whats going on and try to help maybe we can rid the world of cyber-bullying. Some kids become cyber-bullies beacause of what happens at school or home. Parents might not give enough attention or the teachers mught make the kids feel that the teacher is picking on them. I think that cyber-bullies are not that tough, they just use it as an exterior to hide their fears.
